Completed Projects
- The goal of this project was to create a standard compliant Dust chamber to test for dust ingress in electronic components, chamber was made modular and controlled with a PLC and compressed air.
- This project consisted of repurposing an obsolete tensile test with damaged electronics, into a load cell verification machine while also allowing to act as a tensile tester again. It consisted of the design and fabrication of a new base, design of new mounting system for new stepper motor as well as PLC and HMI programing to control operations
- Goal was to create a way to remotely enter testing Identification numbers that would then appear at the appropriate station, for easier identification and resource tracking
- By researching the relationships that exist between failure signatures to mechanical failure, FFT data is used to assess the type of failure. An architecture is proposed that may allow for rotating machinery to be diagnosed in the cloud in near-real time for a dynamic testbed. Implementation of virtual modeling via a digital twin is also explored for considerations of future work in simulation assets.
